The Kaizen Difference
Time is the most valuable resource we all have.
Kaizen Health and Wellness was founded on the idea that the client comes first. Healthcare quality is at an all time low. Many people pay for healthcare not just with their money, but also with their time.
Our goal is to help out clients live a high performance, pain-free life.
If you like to do CrossFit, we'll help you stay healthy while you train. If you love tennis, we'll get you back on the court and keep you there so you enjoy quality time with your friends/team. If you're a runner and have aspirations of doing your first half marathon, we'll help you accomplish that goal!
We want our patients to know that we have their best interests at heart.
We also want to be a resource for our community, coaches, athletes, and trainers around the world. We constantly put up new videos, podcasts, and blog posts to help our community stay healthy and perform at their highest level.
We work with active people...
Who Are:
- Competitive - Determined - Hard Working |
Who Value:
- Time - Health - Success |
Who Want:
- Strength - Mobility - Longevity |
We've helped hundreds of active people just like YOU...
...Who have an achy back
And are worried that they will always have this pain
...Who have knee pain with squatting
And have tried everything but can't seem to get at the root cause
...Who can't lift overhead without shoulder pain
And are worried that they are going to cause more damage
...With recurrent ankle sprains
That just never seem to get better
...With prior injuries
Who have been told to stop activities they love
like squatting, deadlifting, running, or cycling
...Who are trying to stay strong, healthy & fit
But can't because of pain that stops them from lifting
...Who have been dealing with a chronic injury
But it just doesn't seem to go away
...Who have seen other medical providers in the past
But have had no long-lasting change in their pain
And are worried that they will always have this pain

Bryan M. Ladd is the founder of Kaizen Health and Wellness. A 2014 graduate of the DMU Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Bryan has sought a variety of experiences in orthopedics. In treating physical therapy patients he draws upon current research and believes in treating patients holistically.
After graduation, Bryan received a direct commission into the U.S. Navy, serving two years at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, WA, and three years at Naval Hospital Okinawa in Japan. The military provided him with extensive clinical and managerial experiences. During his time in the Navy, Bryan completed a musculoskeletal residency and became a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). In 2019, following his military service, Bryan moved back to the Des Moines metro and started Kaizen Health and Wellness. Kaizen is the Japanese word for “continuous improvement” or “change for the better.” The practice was created around the idea of treating active people who want to get back to the sports and activities they love by creating a patient experience that is unrivaled in healthcare. |
